Working on onboarding + Steam page
After some playtest and feedback, the main focus is to make the game more accessible. Having past some hours looking people trying to understand and enjoy the game, I hope to have a sensible roadmap about improving a lot the onboarding :)
During the last week I 'ported' the game to Steam, and even if I still have some steam basics goodies to finish, basic rich presence, statistic and achievements are functionnal in code, and should be ready for the nexts playtests.
Current main focus is to improve the onboarding : replace the current playtest maps with at least 3 more progressive and smaller and lot shorters levels, introducing the game mechanic in a less stressful and overwhelming way.
UI is also under work mainly to give a less 'coder prototype' feeling which can deter players to try a bit the gameplay.
Last but not least, I choose to publish the steam page as soon as possible without waiting for final artworks to try to promote the game and get 'real strangers' feedbacks as soon as possible, and yes hoping to gather some wishlists, the best thing after money for indies.
